The MIEB is the exclusive agency of importing iron mineral products for Shougang Group, and also provides imported minerals for other inland steel enterprises.

We have mineral resources of Shougang Hierro Peru, S. A., Fleets in Hong Kong, seaports and shipping companies of our own, good stuff with long-term experience in international trade, and solid financial strength, thus we can provide customers with excellent services.

We are the sales agency for Shougang Hierro S. A., in charge of selling its iron mineral products in Mainland China market, and also the sales agency of Hamersley Iron PTY. Ltd., selling its iron mineral products to medium and small size steel enterprises. In the meanwhile, we also deal with iron mineral products from Brazil, India and South Africa. The main products of Peru iron mine are blast furnace pellet, direct reduction pellet, fine iron powder for sintering, powder for making pellet. Iron mineral products from other countries are powder ore, pellet ore and clump ore. We imported 11 million tons of iron ore in 2003, 13 million tons in 2004, 16 million tons in 2005, 18 million tons in 2006, among which 5 million tons were sold to customers in China.

For our customers'convenience, we established subsidiary companies in Qingdao and Ningbo Free Trade Zones. And at the ports of Ningbo, Qingdao and Tianjin, we keep certain storage of iron ore.
